About Compute Census
Colophon
An independent statistical publication on AI compute: what GPUs cost to rent and where AI data center capacity is being built.
A1Why it exists
People buying compute — AI startups, GPU clouds, investors and analysts — keep asking two questions that have no single public answer: what is a fair hourly price for a given GPU, and how much AI data center capacity is really coming. The figures are scattered across price pages, filings and announcements, often undated. This site collects them in one place, dates every number and lists its source on one Sources page.

The Dream View Co., Ltd. is a procurement company that arranges GPUs and GPU servers both to rent and to buy, through different partners, on terms agreed individually for each request. That is also how the site is funded: GPU and server requests sent through the sourcing form are handled by the company. The data is not for sale and is not adjusted for any provider; no provider pays to be listed or ranked.
A3Editorial rules
- No number without a source and a date. If a figure is not published, the page says "not published".
- Pages exist only where there is enough data: a GPU model needs at least three provider prices for its own page.
- Links to providers and publishers are citations. We do not send readers to sales pages.
- Corrections are welcome — send the source through the form.
